Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air to launch flights to Bangkok
Centrum Air, privately held Uzbeki carrier, has announced the launch of flights to Thailand’s capital, Bangkok. The airline will begin these services from Tashkent on April 1.
The flights will be operated twice a week on Airbus A320 narrowbody aircraft, according to the airline’s booking system.
On this route, Centrum Air will compete with the state-owned Uzbekistan Airways, which flies to Bangkok on Boeing 767-300 widebodies.
The launch of the route aligns with Centrum Air’s development strategy, which aims to establish a hub model in Tashkent for transit between East and West. Additionally, its summer schedule will include another new destination in Asia—the capital of South Korea Seoul.
During the summer season, Centrum Air will also introduce flights from the Uzbek capital to Russian cities such as Moscow, Kazan, and Novosibirsk, as well as to Almaty in Kazakhstan, Baku in Azerbaijan, Tbilisi in Georgia, and Tel Aviv in Israel.
