In Tashkent from March 1, the movement of trucks during rush hours is prohibited

From March 1, Tashkent will prohibit the movement of vehicles intended for cargo transportation, classified as N2, N3 and O4 with a permitted maximum weight of more than 10 tons, during peak hours. This is stipulated by the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of February 21, which approved the State Program for the implementation of the Strategy "Uzbekistan-2030" in 2024.

The restriction does not apply to cargo vehicles of special services, including public utilities, landscaping and the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport have been identified as responsible for "full, quality and unconditional implementation" of the innovation.
